Support Group for People Living with Functional Seizures

Have you completed the ‘Taking Control of Your Seizures’ program, but would like to check in with others who are in a similar place? In this seasonal, 90-minute virtual group, attendees will talk about how they are taking control, how they are taking care, how they are living with seizures –  and the obstacles experienced while tackling all of this.  Topics of conversation may revolve around the ‘Taking Control’ program content: getting support/communication, observing triggers, thought records, expressing emotions, active relaxation, dealing with life stresses and enhancing personal wellness. The goals of this support group are to:

  • reconnect to the supportive tools and strategies introduced in the ‘Taking Control’ program
  • navigate obstacles clients encounter as they live with functional seizures
  • give peer support to others who are living with functional seizures
  • receive peer support from others who are living with functional seizures

All clients and only clients who have completed the ‘Taking Control of Your Seizures’ program will be invited to attend this group.

NOTE: The time of the event is to be confirmed.
