A donation of securities or mutual funds is the most efficient way to give charitably. Since capital gains taxes don’t apply, Epilepsy Toronto receives the full fair market value when the security is sold, and you get a tax receipt that reﬂects your larger contribution. AMARI THOMPSON FUND
Epilepsy is a disorder that is close to NBA star, Tristan Thompson’s heart. Tristan’s younger brother Amari was diagnosed with epilepsy and experiences seizures every single day, requiring full-time support. Tristan and his family partnered with Epilepsy Toronto to establish the Amari Thompson Fund named in his brother’s honour to support other families in the Thompson’s his hometown who are living with epilepsy.
US Citizens can donate to Epilepsy Toronto through our official CAF America partnership page to receive a US tax receipt.
Please note that there is a minimum donation of $500 USD.
