New & Expecting Parents Meet-Up

The New & Expecting Parents Meet-Up is especially for people living with epilepsy who are considering becoming parents, are having children or have recently become parents. It’s a chance to share fears, concerns and experiences.  It’s also an opportunity to get up-to-date and relevant information from one another and from group facilitator, Adult Services Director, Rosie Smith, that will help ensure safer pregnancy and child-rearing practices.

This group is facilitated online by Rosie Smith, our Director of Adult Services. An individual intake session is required before joining any of our support groups.  If you are interested in participating in this or future meet-ups like it, please speak with your Epilepsy Toronto counsellor or complete an intake form to be connected with one.

We’re thrilled to have a special guest, Keriann Tingling, a Nurse Practitioner from the Epilepsy Program at Toronto Western Hospital. Keriann will be joining the discussion to provide valuable insights and answer your questions regarding pregnancy, pregnancy planning, and caring for babies while living with epilepsy. Don’t miss this opportunity to share with other parents; ask questions and have your concerns addressed by other parents with first-hand experience.
