Quick! What’s the legal maximum hours you’re allowed to work in Ontario? What exactly do you know about occupational work and health? We’re thrilled to welcome Melina Zaccaria and Breshna Durrani from the Parkdale Community Legal Services on April 5.
Melina and Breshna will give an interactive presentation on the Employment Standards Act, including unpaid wages, holiday pay and vacation pay provisions. They will highlight rights and mandatory minimums for terminated employees, and provide tips for workers looking to enforce their ESA rights. They will then discuss the role of the ESA and the Occupational Health and Safety Act during the COVID-19 pandemic. This presentation is intended to be interactive and participants are encouraged to ask questions throughout.
