Introducing SeizeABILITY! A province-wide employment program designed specifically for youth living with epilepsy and related conditions. This innovative program is aimed at young individuals between the ages of 16 and 30 who are seeking to build meaningful career paths while navigating the unique challenges epilepsy presents.
About SeizeABILITY!:
SeizeABILITY! is an eight-week paid initiative that combines career planning, hands-on work experience, and specialized on-line training to help youth with epilepsy unlock their full potential in the workplace. This program is a fantastic opportunity for participants to:
- Gain valuable insights into career planning and professional development.
- Understand how epilepsy and related conditions may impact work life.
- Learn how to identify and request appropriate workplace accommodations.
- Develop disclosure strategies and enhance goal-setting skills.
EMPLOYER OPPORTUNIITES!

Paid Training and Work Experience:
Participants in the SeizeABILITY program will be paid for both the training and work experience placements, making this a unique opportunity for youth to gain both knowledge and practical skills while earning an income. Training will take place online and work placements will be local to the participant or virtual.

To participate in SeizeABILITY, applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Be a resident of Ontario.
- Be between the ages of 16-30.
- Be eligible to work in Canada.
- Be living with epilepsy and/or a related condition.
- Be unemployed, under-employed or in non-competitive employment.
- Not be currently enrolled in school full-time.
- Able to complete an eight-week program.
- Have access to an internet connection for online training.
Applicants will be screened for eligibility.
