Position Title: Coffee Cart Coordinator
Employment Type: Full-time, Contract

Location: Various event sites (travel required)
Wage: $25.00-$28.00 hourly

Our Coffee Cart is a social-purpose enterprise that provides individuals with epilepsy an opportunity to learn valuable skills while serving great coffee.
Epilepsy Toronto is the place where Torontonians living with epilepsy and other seizure disorders can learn more about their condition, get the help they need and be a part of a family of caring and supporting people.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and organized Coffee Cart Coordinator to oversee the operations of our mobile coffee cart. This role involves managing daily operations, marketing the cart for placement at events, coordinating logistics, and leading an on-site team. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a knack for event planning, team management, and delivering a stellar customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operational Oversight: Ensure the smooth daily operations of the coffee cart, including inventory management, equipment maintenance, and adherence to health and safety standards.
• Training & Development: Support individuals with epilepsy in their roles, providing guidance, mentorship, and skill development opportunities.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and support the coffee cart team on-site, fostering a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment.
• Event Marketing & Coordination: Identify and secure opportunities to place the coffee cart at local events, festivals, and community gatherings. Build and maintain relationships with event organizers.
• Logistics Management: Coordinate the transportation of the coffee cart to and from event locations. Ideally, this includes the ability to tow the trailer.
• Customer Service: Ensure a high standard of service delivery, addressing customer needs and inquiries promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
• Experience/education in hospitality, food service, or event coordination is preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing teams.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong marketing and networking skills to secure event placements.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to tow a trailer (preferred but not required).
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food service or food trucking.
• Passion for social enterprise and working with individuals with disabilities.

Volunteer with Epilepsy Toronto!
Securing Futures Program Volunteer
Epilepsy Toronto is looking for dedicated volunteers to assist with our Life Skills program. This
program teaches skills to live independently.
Role:
Support the Life Skills Facilitator during the monthly in-person Social Squad group or during
the in-person cooking classes, which are held weekly or bi-weekly.
Duties could include:
o Support individuals to follow kitchen safety.
o Help with the coordination of activities.
o Help with setup and cleanup before and after the Social Squad group.
o Support individuals if they have a seizure.
Occasionally, the volunteer may be invited to help support the group on an outing or during a
special celebration.

Volunteer Opportunity – Recreation Group Support
Epilepsy Toronto is looking for a dedicated volunteer to assist with our Recreation Group’s activities. This group creates fun and engaging recreational opportunities for members, helping them build connections and enjoy their time together.
Role:
- Support the coordination and execution of in-person meetings every other Friday from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM (with a latest end time of 5:30 PM).
- Assist the group coordinator, John, in managing activities for the group.
- Help ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.
Note: Volunteers can also attend virtual meetings on alternate Fridays to interact with members and get to know them better.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved, make a difference, and help create a positive experience for members of Epilepsy Toronto!
