The Purple Walk is coming back on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at College Park. Our annual Purple Walk is a magical day that’s all about getting involved in your community, raising awareness about epilepsy, and, of course, fundraising for Epilepsy Toronto’s programs and services.
Each year, over 600 members take up the challenge and fundraise to complete the 5km Purple Walk in downtown Toronto, bringing awareness to the whole city! This year is the 12th Annual Purple Walk, let’s step up for epilepsy and help us spread awareness and make an unforgettable day.


The Purple Walk is for anyone who wants to participate. Come celebrate community, raise funds and be a part of the Purple Walk on Saturday, June 20, at College Park.
Once you’ve signed up for the Purple Walk and created your donation page, take photos and videos on your social media to help you reach your fundraising goal and spread the word about epilepsy. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #12PurpleWalk and tag @epilepsytoronto

The Purple Walk for Epilepsy is our largest fundraiser of the year. The funds raised help provide counselling, education, employment services, recreation, and life skills programs to people living with epilepsy and their families.
FUNDRAISING
You don’t have to fundraise to attend, but we do encourage everyone to try to contribute in some way.
The Purple Walk is a key fundraiser for Epilepsy Toronto, and each participant represents both a cost and an opportunity to make an impact. Whether it’s a small personal donation, asking friends or family to support you, or sharing your page, every effort makes a difference.
And if fundraising isn’t possible for you, please know you are still welcome in this community and at this event.
Can a donor donate offline and still have their donation be part of my Purple Walk Fundraising page?
Absolutely! A donor can donate offline to your Purple Walk Fundraising Page and receive a tax receipt for a donation of $20 or more.
Option 1: E-transfer
Send to: [email protected]
After sending an e-transfer, the donor must email [email protected] with:
- “Purple Walk Donation” and amount
- Donor Information: legal name, mailing address and email (for tax receipt)
- Walker Information: Walker name, Page name or email address
Option 2: Cheque
Make cheque payable to Epilepsy Toronto and mail to:

Option 3: Credit Card
Send an email with your name and phone number to [email protected] and indicate that you would like to make a Purple Walk donation by credit card. Michael will contact you by phone to process your credit card donation.
On the call, Michael will require
- Donor Information: legal name, mailing address and email (for tax receipt)
- Walker Information: Walker name, Page name or email address
Once the donation is received, we’ll add the donation to your fundraising page as an offline donation and issue a tax receipt to your donor, if applicable.
No, all registered walkers will be eligible for the Purple Walk draws if they are registered as of June 19, 2026. In some cases, walkers can earn extra entries for their fundraising efforts; the amount per extra entry varies by draw.

PURPLE WALK DAY
The Purple Walk for Epilepsy on June 20th is at College Park. College Park is located 420 Yonge St, Toronto, ON We highly recommend Walkers use TTC when traveling in for the Walk as we anticipate there may be extra congestion due to FIFA when travelling by car.
Arriving by Public Transit (TTC): Get off at College Station on the Yonge-University Line 1. College Park is located south of the station exit, with an entrance on the west side of Yonge Street.
Arriving by Car: Here are some public paid parking locations in the area*:
- Delta Chelsea Hotel @ 33 Gerrard Street West
- 777 Bay Street
- 2 Carlton Street
- 2-52 Gerrard Street West
- 28 Wood Street
- 101 College Street

Here is a suggested list of what to bring:
- Your medications
- Water – as much water as you need
- Sunscreen
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Weather-ready wear (We are hoping for a warm sunny day! )
- Backpack – We don’t have any storage on site
- Your Purple Energy! 🎉🥳💜 Come dressed in Purple and bring any signs, banners or noisemakers you’d like to have for the walk.
Purple Walk T-shirts will be available at the registration table in limited quantities and based on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage participants to reuse shirts from previous years to help reduce costs or get creative by embracing the theme with a festive purple outfit! We’ll be giving away prizes for the best “Purple Spirit”—and that could be you!
Pets are welcome to join the fun! We kindly ask all pet owners to help make the day enjoyable and safe for everyone by following a few simple guidelines:
- Keep your dog on a leash.
- Ensure your pet stays hydrated throughout the event.
- Please clean up after your pet.
- Be mindful that not everyone (including some other pets) is comfortable around animals.
No, there are no lockers available. Please bring a backpack to carry any of your belongings.
Epilepsy Toronto is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to assist with Purple Walk 2026! The walk will take place on Saturday, June 20th, at College Park.
Available roles:
- Set Up & Take Down (will involve some lifting, carrying, cleaning, etc)
- Registration, T-Shirt & Swag Tables
- Kids Area (colouring, temporary tattoos, bubbles, crafts, etc)
- Water, Popsicle & Snack Distribution
- Greeter & Directions
- Walk Marshall (helping with the safety and security of walkers along the route)
- First Aid (must be First Aid certified)
Note: High school volunteer hours and/or references available.
