Employment Services

Getting and keeping a job can be especially difficult for someone with seizures, but our Employment Services staff are here to help.

Not only do we provide a range of services to people living with epilepsy and other seizure disorders, we also provide services and assistance to potential employers. Our focus is on job acquisition, retention and workplace adjustment. Through vocational and supportive counselling, we address employment standards, labour legislation, income support, insurance, driving issues and more.

If you have any questions or require support at any time, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.  Please complete an intake form, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Sign up for the Employment ENewsletter or our weekly Job Postings Email to stay keep up to date with the latest workshops, support groups, employment opportunities and epilepsy news.

Job Seekers Program

Epilepsy Toronto’s Job Seekers Program is a four-week employment program that equips job seekers living with epilepsy and related conditions, with the skills they need to successfully navigate today’s job market. The program begins on the first Monday of the month with a Group Intake meeting.

UPLIFT for Employment

UPLIFT stands for Using Practice and Learning to Increase Favorable Thoughts.

You may not be formally diagnosed with anxiety or depression but find yourself stressed and overwhelmed by the impact of seizures on either yourself, your job or your job search. This evidence-based 8-week mindfulness-based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)  group is for people impacted by epilepsy, depression/anxiety and how it relates to their employment.
