Living with Epilepsy and ADHD

A computer keyboard with a 'workshop' button.

The Employment Services team at Epilepsy Toronto invites you to attend an afternoon of sharing on Wednesday, February 10 as we discuss how living with epilepsy and ADHD impacts us in the world of work.

Co-existing conditions like Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and learning disabilities affect an estimated 30% of all people living with epilepsy. Memory, anxiety, language processing and a host of other related issues can have a huge impact on how we perform our jobs and how we’re perceived by co-workers and employers. Join us as we discuss topics like:

  • the impact of medications on epilepsy and ADHD
  • executive functions and the role they play in the workplace
  • how do you accommodate someone living with multiple invisible conditions?
  • the impact of memory and auditory processing on how we perform our jobs

This event promises to be a rollicking discussion! Space for this event is limited to 10 people and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve your spot email: carter@epilepsytoronto.org.
