We are so excited to be welcoming Leah Sultan-Khan back to the Epilepsy Toronto Team. Leah, who worked with us as our Director of Public Education and Diversity Outreach from 2010 to 2013, has been busy working in the hospital sector for the past 5 years, in patient & family education and health equity. We are so pleased to have her return to take on the role of Director of Community Engagement for Epilepsy Toronto.
In her new role, Leah will be dedicating most of her time to two new projects. The first will be to do research for a new housing and life skills program called “Living Well”. This program is important because it aims to address the current gap in the life skills and supportive housing programs in our city for people living with epilepsy, which often leaves our members and their families with a significant lack of resources.
In addition to this, she will be meeting MPs to make them aware of epilepsy, its impact and to engage their support in securing funding for the programs and services of our agency.
Leah has the perfect background and experience to work on these two projects and we are absolutely thrilled to have her back at in the Epilepsy Toronto office.
