Position: Multimedia Intern

Department: Communications Department

Position length: Part time, fixed term

Epilepsy Toronto is a grassroots community service organization dedicated to the independence and quality of life of Torontonians with epilepsy and their families. We provide a wide spectrum of education and support services, including: individual and family counselling, group work, recreation services, employment consultation, conferences, workshops, and public awareness initiatives.

Our internship will give you meaningful, hands-on experience working in the non-profit sector. We are looking for a creative, multi-faceted intern to support our communications team with video editing and various multimedia and design tasks. In this role, you will be able to gain valuable experience in editing raw video footage, graphic design for social media campaigns, designing hard copy resources, and other multimedia tasks, as needed. We are seeking to create the most valuable internship experience for you and would love to hear about your creative ideas, skills, and what you can bring to the table! 


  •  Editing raw footage (video and audio)
    • Creating videos for our See the Person interview campaign 
    • Creating videos for our Live with Lily children’s show
  • Create engaging microcontent (videos, graphics, etc.) for our social media channels (TikTok, Instagram)
  • Design various resources such as flyers, pamphlets, brochures, as needed 
  • Support in the strategy and creative design for digital content for upcoming campaigns
  • Various tasks, as needed


  • Enrolled or recently graduated from a multimedia, art & design, production or other related program
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite
  • Strong understanding of Google Drive 
  • Proficient in video editing software 
  • Familiar with all major social media platforms (TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram

Additional Details:

  • This position is paid
  • Must be able to work remotely
  • Providing a brief design portfolio is an asset 
  • Internship Length: 8 weeks, 35 hrs per week
