 /vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text]UPLIFT stands for "Using
  Practice and Learning to Increase Favourable Thoughts”. It is a mindful
 ness-based cognitive behavioural therapy program that improves depression\
 , and overall psychological quality of life. Groups of 5-8 adults meet vir
 tually for an hour once a week for 8 weeks.\n\nThe sessions teach valuable
  coping strategies and topics that include: coping and relaxing\, monitori
 ng thoughts\, and preventing future low moods.\n\nParticipants must:\n\n 	
 be at least 18 years old\n 	be a caregiver for someone who is living with 
 epilepsy\n 	and be struggling with depression or anxiety.\n\n[/vc_column_t
 ext][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This 8-week se
 ssion takes place on Tuesdays\, from October 10 to December 5 (excluding O
 ctober 31)\, and is specifically for caregivers. It is being led by Eden P
 eters\, one of Epilepsy Toronto's Child &amp\; Youth Services Coordinator
 s. There are other UPLIFT programs offered for people living with epilepsy
 \, their partners\, or with a focus on employment.\nIf you are interested
