 ]\nDr. Danielle Andrade is the Medical Director of the Epilepsy Program at
  that University Health Network\, University of Toronto. She is the founde
 r and Director of Krembil Neuroscience Epilepsy Genetics Program. Dr. Andr
 ade is also the Director of the Epilepsy Transition Program\, a program in
  collaboration with The Hospital for Sick Children that helps promote coor
 dinated\, smooth and efficient transition from the pediatric to the adult 
 health systems for patients with intractable epilepsy. She was the chair o
 f the epilepsy implementation task force sub-group for the development of 
 Guidelines for Transition in Epilepsy for the Province of Ontario.\n\nDr. 
 Andrade graduated in Medicine from Universidade Federal do Parana (Brazil)
  and completed her Neurology Residency at Hospital N.S. Gracas (Brazil). S
 he then completed a Master of Sciences at The Hospital for Sick Children\,
  University of Toronto\, which was focused on “Protein Therapy for Unver
 richt-Lundborg Progressive Myoclonus Epilepsy”. Between 2004 and 2006 Dr
 . Andrade completed an Epilepsy and Clinical Electrophysiology Fellowship 
 at Toronto Western Hospital\, University of Toronto.\n[/vc_column_text][/v
 c_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="2/3"][vc_column_text]Dr. Esthe
 r Bui is a Neurologist – Clinician Educator \, Assistant Professor at th
 e University of Toronto. She is cross appointed to the Division of Obstetr
 ical Medicine. She is the director of the University of Toronto’s Epilep
 sy Fellowship and co-director of the Women’s Neurology Fellowship\, as w
 ell as co-director of Education\, Krembil Brain Institute. Dr. Bui complet
 ed her M.D. in 2002 and Neurology residency in 2007\, and Epilepsy and EEG
  fellowship in 2010 at the University of Toronto. She is a member of the C
 anadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiology (CSCN) and served on the execu
 tive board of the CSCN 2012-2017 and is currently serving as on the execut
 ive of the Canadian League Against Epilepsy (CLAE). Her clinical and resea
 rch interests lies in advancing the care of epilepsy\, particularly focuse
 d on gender issues and pregnancy. In education\, her interest is on teache
 r assessment tools and EEG learning.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_colum

 idth="2/3"][vc_column_text]Dr. Peter Carlen obtained his MD from the Unive
 rsity of Toronto and his internship and Internal Medicine training at McGi
 ll University\, completing his Neurology training at the University of Tor
 onto. He also did postgraduate training in cellular electrophysiology for 
 3 years at the Neurobiology Unit of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem\, I
 srael. He is a Professor in Medicine (Neurology)\, Physiology\, and the In
 stitute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering at the University of To
 ronto. He was formerly the Head of Neurology at the Addiction Research Fou
 ndation. In 1989\, he was appointed Director of the Playfair Neuroscience 
 Unit and Neuroscience Research at the University Health Network for a 10 y
 ear term\, where he is now a Senior Scientist and Head of the Division of 
 Fundamental Neurobiology. He has over 300 peer-reviewed biomedical publica
 tions and 6 patents. His main research interests are mechanisms and contro
 l of neural synchrony and entrainment in epilepsy\, SUDEP\, hypoglycemic s
 eizures\, gap junctional communication\, brain state classification\, and 
 the cerebral pathophysiology of the fetal alcohol syndrome. He is also an 
 active neurological clinician at the University Health Network (Toronto We
 stern Hospital) with a practice focused mainly on patients with epilepsy.[

 lumn_text]Dr. Gold is a staff neuropsychologist at Toronto Western Hospita
 l\, and holds an Assistant Professor academic appointment in the Departmen
 t of Psychiatry at University of Toronto. He primarily conducts neuropsych
 ological assessments for the epilepsy program\, but also consults to other
  UHN services such as Neurology. Dr. Gold also maintains a small private p
 ractice. His PhD investigated memory changes in daily life for those with 
 early evidence of Alzheimer’s disease. During his residency at Duke Univ
 ersity Medical Center\, he gained specialized experience assessing and pro
 viding CBT treatment for ADHD before completing his clinical neuropsycholo
 gy fellowship at Saint Louis University and his postdoctoral research fell
 owship at Washington University in St. Louis. He is a registered Psycholog
 ist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario with declared competency 
 with adults and seniors in clinical psychology and neuropsychology.[/vc_co

 lumn_text]W. McIntyre Burnham received his B.A. in Experimental Psychology
  from Cornell University and his Ph.D. in Physiological Psychology from Mc
 Gill University. Following post-doctoral studies in electrophysiology with
  Pierre Gloor at the Montreal Neurological Institute\, he joined the Depar
 tment of Pharmacology at the University of Toronto\, where he is currently
  a Professor Emeritus. His research career has centered on epilepsy and an
 ticonvulsant drugs. He was the first recipient of the Bahen Chair of Epile
 psy Research\, and is currently the Director of the University of Toronto 
 Epilepsy Research Program. He is also a Co-Director of EpLink\, and a Past
  President of Epilepsy Ontario and of Epilepsy Canada.[/vc_column_text][/v
