  PURPLE DAY\n\nRAISING EPILEPSY AWARENESS DAY ALL AROUND THE GLOBE!\n\n\n
 Purple Day was started in 2008 by a little girl in Nova Scotia called Cass
 idy who wanted her friends to know what it really meant for her to live wi
 th epilepsy. A child’s dream of sharing her story has turned into a reco
 gnized\, global movement to raise awareness for epilepsy on March 26th. Vi

 ch 26th is now official Purple Day in Canada thanks to the passage of a fe
 deral private members bill supported by all parties in Parliament. This ye
 ar people from all parts of Canada will be wearing purple and working to e
 ducate the community about epilepsy: a condition that affects 1 in 100 Can
 adians but is still very misunderstood by the public.\n\nIndividuals and g
 roups in our community are working with Epilepsy Toronto to plan events th
 at will help bring better public awareness about the facts and realities o
 f epilepsy. You can show your support by wearing a bit of purple on March 
 26th.\nPurple Day 2019 Events - \nEpilepsy Toronto will be at Toronto Wes
 tern Hospital and Sick Kids between 10am - 2pm to celebrate Purple Day\, a
 nd we'll be visiting the Rexdale Hub on March 27 in partnership with the R
 exdale Women's Shelter.  The CN Tower and the 'TORONTO' sign at Nathan Ph
 illip's Square will be lit up Purple for the day as well.\n\nEpilepsy Awar
 eness events initiated by our members in classrooms\, churches\, aparment 
 building lobby's\, offices\, and places of work are also going on across t
 he city. The CN Tower and the 'TORONTO' sign at Nathan Phillip's Square w
 ill be lit up Purple that evening as well.\n\nSo look out for the Purple P
