xt]Many employers still hold the view that disability is a limitation th
at is ongoing and more or less permanent. This may not be the case for
those who experience periods of good health between periods of limitation
s or illness. In addition\, these periods of wellness and disability are
unpredictable. As a consequence\, a person may move in and out of the lab
our force in an unpredictable manner.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nRealize is a leader
in research and advocacy where we examine and address the range of compl
ex barriers to inclusion that are faced by people living with episodic dis
abilities. As the secretariat for the Episodic Disabilities Forum\, we b
ring individuals together from multiple disability communities and orga
nizations to work on these shared issues. \n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThe Episodic Di
sabilities at Work Workshop will cover:\n\n What are Episodic Disabilitie
s and what impact do they have on people’s lives?\n What are common wor
kplace accommodations requested by people living with episodic disabiliti
es?\n How employers can accommodate employees with episodic disabilities\
n Tools and resources available to support return-to-work\n\n[/vc_column
